Publishing through the net - is it really that great?

Not to blog or to blog, that is the question.

Work

Aha. Nailed it. Crystalised (my ideas). Whatnot. I thought about reviving my website blog the other day, but with so much going on perhaps, I forgot to act. Now, on Good Friday evening, 2025, I feel inspired enough to expand.

First of all, my rationale. Process. Deliberately in all day. (Stayed in that is.) On my own*/**. I've been reluctant to post much today through X - my main 'channel', so far anyways - since I've not wanted to detract from one of the biggest, if not the biggest religious festival in our calendar. Easter. (& we sure as hell need religion in our lives, culture etc these days. Christianity is already mine too. Yes?) Equally, too much time spent on one's own can/has lead to the onset of cabin fever. However, I'd like to think that having lived this way for a number of years now, I just know that by putting myself through periods of isolation eventually/usually leads to flashes of activity. Content publishing nirvana!

Second, the blog. Well, there is also a helping of rationale here too. Strategy. Because, although X is cool - in short and long form use - I recently identified a change in my life, whereby social media is really not the full story. Sure, people may read stuff I put out there through X, Facebook, Insta' et al. But what I do through my physical life - where I go, who I see - plays as much of a role in what happens next. Maybe more, who knows. So I am 'that' well known? Perhaps I no longer need my social news.

Question is. What does that make me. Politician? Diplomat? Musician? (Chippie owner in Leytonstone recently thought I was a musician. When I asked him of course. Ok.) Either way, I like writing. (Or I don't mind it. No, I like.) And so the blog idea was revived. Where can I put my thoughts in the most valuable place. Blog seems the best option, since it's so closely tied to my brand. Website. Or that's the theory.

Feel free to respond to, comment, share this btw. Do in fact, as although the search engines may pick up on it, interaction with fellow human beings is surely where it's at.

Happy Easter.

*Why. Ask.
